I am grateful for the privilege of being re-elected as President of the National USCG-PAMRA. I will soon team up with PAMRA Officers to kick off the groundwork for the 11th PAMRA Reunion Tour Philippines in 2015. The success of the reunion depends on personal commitment and support from you, our treasured members. When you participate, you enable valuable support and that's the key to success. And of course, our family members and friends are part of the extended PAMRA family that enable the work we do. I'll continue to employ open, clear and frequent communication with you as I carry out our organizational goals. Honesty, accountability, transparency, and fairness will continue to be my guiding principles to meet forthcoming challenges.
We are all valued and respected members of this extraordinary organization with a unique goal to promote friendship and camaraderie and putting together biennial reunions highlighted by a military ball. The reunion allows us to "go back to our native homeland" to visit relatives and friends and it gives us grand opportunity to rediscover Philippines at its best revitalizing and renewing love for our country. It allows us to connect and bond with former military shipmates that we haven't seen for a long time, and even gain new friends. This well-attended event upholds a major part of our advocacy - to help the local economy and promote Philippine Tourism, a way to "give something back to our native land" among other things. I am glad for the trailblazers who planned and opened doors of opportunity and kept them open for others to follow. As our great organization continuous to grow, great opportunities await us to be a part of and make a difference in a positive way that would benefit our generation and the next generations to come.
I invite you all to join us at the 2015 PAMRA Reunion Tour Philippines! The start of 2015 PAMRA Tour marketing campaign will run shortly after a final agreement is made with a Travel Agency later this year. I will provide more details in the coming months as we move forward and will seek your feedback on a wide variety of issues to ensure success of this tour.
With all best wishes,
LCDR Reno Villanueva, USCG (Ret.)
